Volkswagen have unveiled a super stylish new facelifted Scirocco GTS at this months Shanghai Motor Show. This stunning new two-door coupe boasts an impressive 217bhp and a turbocharged 2.0 petrol engine and an abundance of aesthetic improvements.
Based on the Scirocco R-Line trim the GTS possesses 18 inch alloys, red sports brake callipers, black door mirrors and GTS trimming. The GTS trimming consists of sporty red and black stripes across the roof and bonnet as well as GTS badges on the sills, steering wheel and seats.
The GTS also boasts an array of other interior features that separate this from its standard form. With golf-ball styling added to the gear knob and red seams added to many of the interior components such as the seat belts, handbrake, gear lever, arm rests, floor mats and steering wheel, the GTS also provides stunning chrome trimming to add an extra glossy finish.
The GTS is to come equipped with Volkswagens new infotainment system that will be implemented across the Scirocco range by May.
Performance wise the GTS boasts almost identical figures to its more basic model with a 0-62mph time of 6.5 seconds in both the manual and automatic dual clutch transmissions whilst it will also boast an impressive 46.3mpg considering its power. Further specifications have yet to be announced and Volkswagen are yet to announce pricing figures for this stylish upgrade, however, it’s widely speculated that the Scirocco GTS will feature around the £30,000 bracket.
